  1. Lucknow (UP) | Islampur, Uttar Dinajpur (WB) | Panjim / Panaji (Goa) | Dehradun (UK) hosted their first Pride march and people loved it!
  2. KISS first private organization in India to hire a transgender in Bhubaneswar.
  3. Chandigarh transgender welfare boardIndia's first TG welfare board in North and first UT to have TG board.
  4. Elder LGBTQ members in Mumbai are being offered a safe space to meet for a ‘chai and a chat’ to tackle loneliness through a social group ‘Mumbai Seenagers’.
  5. First from Odisha, Sadhana gets passport with transgender category.
  6. M. Sneha became first transgender driver in India, she hails from Trichy.
  7. Tuition fees were scrapped for transgenders at The Manonmaniam Sundaranar University (MSU) in Tamil Nadu. IGNOU also waived 100% fees to transgender students. 
  8. Joyita Mondal becomes first transgender judge in India, making herself and community proud. She hails from very backward village in West Bengal and in past she begs for her daily bread and butter when she come out in open as transgender.

  13. Two successful Bollywood movies, Aligarh and Kapoor & Sons, made a lot of people happy for their positive depiction of gay identities.
  14. Kochi Metro recruited 23 members of the transgender community.
  15. Prithika Yashini, India's first transgender police officer, wins acceptance, as she joined Tamil Nadu police force as sub inspector.
  16. Five acid attack victims and a transgender joined their jobs in the Delhi High Court, which, in a unique gesture, gave them employment after their plight was brought to the notice of Acting Chief Justice Gita Mittal.

  1. I think this list should mention the Privacy Judgment of the Supreme Court that recognised sexuality as a fundamental right under the umbrella of privacy, and also set out the reasons why the earlier Kaushal judgment (that had reinstated 377) is a bad judgment and should be set aside.
